I live in the western North Carolina mountains with my husband, daughter and two cats.

I'm originally from eastern North Carolina, and except for living in Florida for seven years, I have always lived in my home state.  I went to college at NC State in Raleigh, NC and got my BS degree in geology.

However, I've have always drawn and created art since I was a child, and finally got the chance to take college levels courses as an adult.  Although I don't have a degree in art, I have over thirty hours in photography and art, and many other courses and workshop hours completed.

In Florida, I found my most recent calling to work with mixed media while at the art school in Boca Raton, FL, and now create mostly altered books and collages with the many found objects I collect.  I've exhibited in various galleries and shows over the years in both NC and FL.
